The goal of writing is to create an emotional experience through choosing words carefully to create engagement and a dynamic mode of expression. Use figurative language, simple straight forward diction, and believability to move your audience.
Plot matters...
The beginning, middle, and end of the story. These events hold the key and are necessary to the whole.
Starting the story at the right moment is incredibly important, too early, or too late and your story falls flat.
Before you write the middle scenes, remember character drives plot.
Ending your story shouldn't be arbitrary either. The ending has to be right, not just for plot arc but for character development.
Trust the simplicity of storytelling!
