Have you thought of how to transcend these challenges of the new norm, and seize them as new opportunities? Or how to change your isolation mindset from trapped inside to Resident Artist at work!
Writing as a daily habit, will likely result in the most creative and successful outcomes. Incorporating writing into your daily routine carves out a structure for the completion of your work and creates a path to the evolution of the skill of the writer. The more success you have in completing pieces, the greater sense of mastery you will experience over your writing skills.

When you are setting a writing schedule, you have to think to fulfill a minimum of 10,000 collective writing hours in order to hit industry standard and professional writing. Contrary to popular belief, writing isn’t just about sitting down and engaging with the act whenever the notion hits you. Wherever you stand on the spectrum of “barely writing” to “writing obsessively”, reflects your level of artistry. Is this a hobby or is this your craft? A hobby seeks enjoyment, but a craft seeks mastery.
This may not immunize you from the inevitable writer’s block, but it will give you the undivided time to show up for your writing, authentically. When we show up authentically, we are also more likely to be vulnerable and receptive to where the creative process takes us. A writing habit and structure is never set in stone; but the desire to write is always concrete, and so is the regret when we as artists do not complete our writing goals.
"You want to crush it in the industry and get your head up above the rest?"

Apply the same fluidity you would to your actual writing, with when and how you decide to put pen to paper. No matter how writing fits into your routine and schedule, creating a habit will diminish excuses while helping you spark daily joy in your passion.
Develop a “no matter what” mindset. Set a time to sit in the chair at desk and do something you love!
